Panasonic FP7 – All about Data

FP7 news

With the FP7 series, Panasonic starts a new era of automation control. The FP7 takes all steps necessary from collecting, logging, and transferring the data to analyzing them and taking the necessary action. It goes without saying that the FP7 is able to visualize the local production conditions and to provide the user with a complete overview of the situation at all times. All you need is a standard internet browser.

To make the most of your browser, Panasonic provides the software Control Web Creator. Control Web Creator is an easy-to-use WYSIWYG editor for graphical development of applications. The software provides a simple way to create web pages for displaying process data read by the PLC. No programming knowledge for HTML, PHP, JavaScript or Java is required! Extensive graphic libraries help users with their design work. Of course, the Control Web Creator is HTML5-enabled.

Below find some of the most important features of the Control Web Creator software:

  • Up to 16 sessions simultaneously
  • 13MB content memory
  • Visualization of data from different PLCs (cross-domain connection)
  • 16 password levels for web pages and objects
  • Ability to save PDF files (e.g. online manuals)
  • Camera objects can be integrated
  • Media Player objects, films, videos, etc. can be integrated (MP4, WEBM, OGV/OGG)
  • Secure SSL connection

In addition to your own application-based HTML pages (developed with the Control Web Creator), the FP7 CPU comes with pre-defined web content so that you can display data, error messages, etc. right away without having to create screens first. Use the system web pages to check the status of the FP7 at a glance.

This way, our flagship, the FP7 series, again sets new standards in the area of logical controllers, especially as far as communication, visualization, and connectivity are concerned.

Here are some highlights of the FP7 web-server functionality:

  • Web server:
Presentation of PLC data on HTML or XML pages
Access via standard internet browser or smartphone
Modify PLC data via HTML input fields or Java Applets
  • E-mail:
    PLC can send e-mails
  • FTP client:
Current or logged data can be sent to a remote FTP server
  • Data logger:
